World’s Longest Corvette Built for the Big Diesel

October 6, 2025

Gotta admit, here at the offices of the ShaqFu Radio blog, we’re kinda jealous of the big man and his big love of fancy wheels. Now he’s added a new one that’s really turning heads. Of course when you stand 7-foot-1 and weigh over 300 pounds, fitting into a sports car isn’t exactly easy. But Shaquille O’Neal doesn’t do “impossible.” His latest ride — a custom-stretched Chevrolet Corvette Z06 — might just be the most jaw-dropping car in his massive collection.

The story began when Shaq ordered a C8 Corvette Z06, one of the fastest production cars ever made. But there was one small problem — he couldn’t fit inside it. Most people would’ve given up, but not Shaq. Instead, he called up his go-to car team at Effortless Motors, the same crew behind some of his most outrageous custom rides, and told them to make it work.

To accommodate his size, the shop did something no one had ever done before — they stretched the Corvette by 20 inches. That’s right: the world’s first “long-body” Corvette was born. Even with that modification, Shaq still had to wedge himself in with his knees nearly touching the steering wheel, but as he joked while sliding into the driver’s seat: “The first big dude in the Z06.”

His new toy, powered by a 5.5-liter V8 engine cranking out 670 horsepower, can rocket from 0 to 60 in just 2.6 seconds. In other words, it’s fast enough for even the Big Diesel to smile. But the build wasn’t all smooth sailing. The car first arrived in Atlanta with cracked windows, and then again in Las Vegas after further tweaks — leading to two deliveries and two rounds of celebration.

Shaq’s patience (well, what little he has) paid off. Effortless Motors didn’t just stretch the frame; they lowered the seats by 3.5 inches, swapped in a smaller steering wheel, and made sure he could finally close the convertible top without bumping his head. The result? A one-of-a-kind Corvette that glows like a UFO under Vegas lights — literally, thanks to its new underglow system.

And while Shaq had to part with a few cars — including one of his Tesla Cybertrucks — to make room for the Z06, that’s just part of life in Shaq’s ever-rotating garage. From Ferraris to monster trucks, he’s owned it all.

When asked about the final product, Shaq gave his signature stamp of approval: “Perfect.” And coming from one of the most demanding (and largest) car lovers on the planet, that’s saying something.
