Regular readers of this here ShaqFu Radio blog know the big man is a big fan of most everything on wheels. The more beastly, the more powerful, the better. Well, Shaq’s automotive collection has just grown by one more ride…and it’s very much a one-of-a-kind!
When you’re 7-foot-1 like Shaquille O’Neal, the average car just doesn’t cut it. Even big SUVs that feel roomy for most drivers—like the Jeep Wrangler—end up cramped for the Hall of Fame center. Sports cars? Usually a total no-go. But Shaq is never one to back down from a challenge. So when he set his sights on Chevrolet’s C8 Corvette Z06, a sleek, low-slung performance machine, he needed help. Enter Effortless Motors, a custom shop that specializes in automotive wizardry. Their mission: build a Corvette that actually fits the Big Diesel.
The result? A 20-inch longer Corvette Z06 that looks factory fresh while being the only one of its kind—perfectly tailored for Shaq’s larger-than-life frame.
A Corvette Made for a Giant
For most people, the Corvette Z06 is already snug. Its cockpit is tight, designed for speed and aerodynamics, not legroom. For someone taller than 6-foot-6, it’s nearly impossible to squeeze in, let alone drive comfortably. Effortless Motors completely re-engineered the car, stretching Shaq’s Corvette by nearly two feet. Remarkably, it doesn’t look like a stretched limousine. Instead, it keeps the sleek, muscular proportions that make the Z06 so recognizable.
Finished in matte black with gloss accents—likely carbon fiber—the Corvette has an aggressive stance that matches Shaq’s personality. A massive rear wing dominates the back, even larger than the already bold stock spoiler. And because Shaq never misses a chance to nod to his alter ego, the wheels feature Superman center caps, giving the car a personal touch.

Still a True Performance Beast
While the body has been reworked, the heart of the car remains pure Z06. Under the hood sits the 5.5-liter LT6 flat-plane crank V8, pumping out 670 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. It’s one of the most powerful naturally aspirated engines ever fitted to an American car, rocketing the Corvette from 0–60 mph in just 2.6 seconds.
Effortless Motors added a roof scoop over the rear window—more style than function—but inside, the car shines with a bold red interior that pops against the dark exterior. Despite its modifications, the car keeps its removable roof panel, so Shaq can enjoy open-air cruising with all the headroom he could ever want.

Shaq’s Big-Grin Test Drive
When Shaq first saw the Corvette, it wasn’t even fully finished—the side windows hadn’t been installed yet. That didn’t stop him. He slid into the driver’s seat, fired it up, and took it for a spin. Watching Shaq cruise around in a car built just for him, you couldn’t miss the ear-to-ear grin plastered across his face.
Shaq has owned just about everything—custom Ferraris, stretched Escalades, and even super-sized trucks—but this Corvette is special. It combines high-performance thrills with practicality, giving him the speed and fun he craves without the usual discomfort of trying to fold a 7-foot-1 frame into a tiny sports car.
For Shaq, it’s more than just a ride—it’s proof that with the right creativity, even the world’s biggest athlete can live out his supercar dreams.
