Shaq’s Cleaning Out His Garage

April 30, 2025

Shaquille O’Neal might be a Hall of Fame basketball legend, a DJ, a businessman, and a TV personality… but when it comes to cars? He’s on a whole other level. If you thought your neighbor who rotates through trucks was into vehicles, just wait until you hear what The Big Diesel is doing with his collection.

If you’ve followed the Big Man’s auto-related exploits, you know he’s had a thing for the big, bad Tesla Cybertruck. We pretty sure he now owns one for each of his three main (and secondary) homes, in the Atlanta area, in Texas and in Las Vegas Nice to always have your favorite ride on hand!

On a recent episode of The Big Podcast, Shaq casually dropped a bombshell: he’s selling off ten of his personal vehicles. That’s right—ten. But it wasn’t a dramatic announcement or part of some massive lifestyle change. He just kind of said it like he was clearing out some old t-shirts from a closet.

But here’s the wild part—he also admitted that he forgot he owned a few of them. We’re talking about full-sized, tricked-out, customized luxury cars… and Shaq was like, “Wait, I bought that?”

Apparently, the big man was just as surprised as anyone when Effortless Motors, a luxury customization shop, showed up at one of his homes to deliver a Cadillac Escalade IQ. Shaq’s reaction? He told the team, “That ain’t mine—I wouldn’t fit in that.” (Spoiler alert: It was his. In fact, he bought two of them.)

To put things in perspective, Shaq estimates he owns around 40 custom cars. But if we’re being honest? That number might be conservative. Between his fleet of supercars (many of which he admittedly doesn’t fit inside), electric beasts, luxury sedans, and trucks straight out of a sci-fi movie, he’s got enough rides to open his own theme park.

And now? He’s making room. Among the rides he’s unloading: at least one of the nine Dodge Hellcats he owns. Yes—nine. One of them has already popped up at auction. Also on the possible chopping block? One of the three Rolls-Royces he bought “just because.” While there’s no confirmation which model is being sold, we’re betting he’s holding onto the Superman-themed one. (Because come on—iconic.)

Still, don’t worry—Shaq isn’t downsizing for good. If anything, he’s clearing garage space for more toys. He currently owns not one, not two, but three Tesla Cybertrucks, along with a monstrous Ram TRX customized by Apocalypse Manufacturing. And that’s just scratching the surface.

So why does Shaq keep rotating through cars like most people rotate through pizza toppings?

“I treat my cars like girlfriends,” he joked on the podcast. “I change ‘em up when I’m bored.”

Respectfully, we wouldn’t expect anything less from the man who once turned a Rolls-Royce into a tribute to Superman and who regularly has cars customized so he can actually fit inside them.

Whether it’s muscle cars, electric SUVs, or apocalyptic monster trucks, one thing’s for sure: when Shaq’s in the driver’s seat, the ride is never boring.
